Algunos investigadores piensan que la fatiga por enfocar, proveniente de lectura excesiva o de sujetar un libro demasiado cerca de los ojos durante per\u00edodos extensos de tiempo pueden aumentar el riesgo de miop\u00eda en los ni\u00f1os, aunque nadie lo sabe con certeza.<\/o:p><\/span><\/div>\n

Aunque la causa (o causas) de la miop\u00eda contin\u00faan siendo un misterio, recientemente los investigadores han descubierto algo sobre la progresi\u00f3n de la miop\u00eda que es muy interesante: \u00a1es posible que los lentes y de contacto indicados durante a\u00f1os para corregir la miop\u00eda en realidad aumenten el riesgo de empeorarla!<\/o:p><\/span><\/div>\n

Muchos de estos investigadores est\u00e1n estudiando nuevos dise\u00f1os de lentes para ver si pueden desarrollar lentes de contacto o gafas que puedan controlar la miop\u00eda y detener o retrasar su progresi\u00f3n en los ni\u00f1os. <\/o:p><\/span><\/div>\n

Teniendo en cuenta lo que se\u00f1alan los expertos, es una gran idea alentar a sus hijos a pasar m\u00e1s tiempo fuera (y dejar el tel\u00e9fono celular y otros dispositivos electr\u00f3nicos en casa o en los bolsillos).<\/o:p><\/span><\/div>\n
